New Alignment Grid

In response to customer requests we have created an alignment grid. As you drag ‘n drop your floating objects you will see a grid appear in the background which will help you to align your objects. 350pages will automatically align the dragged edge or corner of the object you are moving to this grid, as well as to other nearby objects. You can stop this from happening by holding down the CTRL key.

Color Themes

Now you can change the color theme of your webpage instantly using the Page Properties option. Full subscribers can also change the colors of the individual elements to create their own color scheme.

New Framed Panel Object

This versatile, powerful object enables you to achieve many different effects for your webpages. Select from a variety of frame designs and customize the size and color of the frame and the background. The framed panel can contain any number of other objects such as text, images, graphics, videos, etc.

You can align your objects to achieve different effects. For example, add a photo and a paragraph, then align the photo to the top left – as you enlarge the image or the framed panel then the text will automatically wrap itself around the image. Likewise, if you add a paragraph after the framed panel object and align the framed panel object to the top left, then as you enlarge the framed panel object the paragraph will automatically wrap itself around the framed panel object.

New File Manager Icon View

We have released a new alternative view of the folders and files in your File Manager. The new Icon view displays your files as icons and thumbnail images. These are grouped into categories such as folders, webpages, images, videos, etc. To select a webpage or image to edit, simply click on it. To see a preview of a webpage click on the P icon. You can switch between the List view or Icon view at any time.

New Design Dialogue and Editor Windows

We have changed the pop up Dialogue and Editor windows to a new blue design. The functionality remains the same. We hope you will find the new design easy to work with.

We are in the process of changing the videos, tutorials and help system to reflect the new look so please bear this in mind when using the tutorials.

New Enhanced Slideshow

The new enhanced slideshow now fades in with a new look of rounded corners and a drop shadow to make it stand off the page.

We have also enhanced the viewing controls. So that your visitors can see the new slideshow you will need to republish your pages that have a gallery on them. You can do this easily from the File Manager - check the box in the name column and then select the Publish button.

Note that this may take some time if you are republishing many pages at once. See it in action here.

Text Editor Additions

In response to customer feedback we have increased the range of fonts and sizes in the Text Editor. So you will now have 5 new fonts - arial black (ideal for very bold text), georgia, lucida, palatino and trebuchet.

Text Editor AdditionsWe have also added a size - enormous, which is 36pt. On that subject, we have added the point sizes to make it easier in your selection. As a guideline for usage, sans-serif fonts such as arial and verdana are generally used as 10pt and serif fonts such as Times are generally 12pt.

We've also improved the way that fonts appear when your visitors don't have exactly the right fonts installed on their computer.

New Colour Schemes and Colour Properties

We've introduced a great new colouring system to make it even easier for you to create really good looking web pages, Instead of editing separate colours on your website, we've now introduced a choice of pre-designed colour schemes for your website. It's much easier and results in great coordinated website colours.

The page and site pickers now show images of the template styles in various colours. In the layout pickers you will see the colour schemes at the top. Click on any one of those to see the layouts change into the chosen colour, so you can see exactly what the template set looks like in various colours.

Subscribers to the full version of 350pages still have the facility to change every element of the colour scheme thus personalising the website even more. Colours can be chosen prior to creating a site or changed after and then copied across to all the other pages. To do this you simply go into your FileManager, check the boxes of the pages you want to update and then select the Update Properties option. You can select your source page and which elements you wish to update and it will be done automatically for you.

RSS Feed

Add live, frequently changing content to your website with an RSS feed, eg. news, cartoons or quote of the day. Simply insert an RSS feed object on your webpage and the content is automatically updated when the provider updates the common feed. If you have a blog site, such as blogger.com then you can include your own RSS feed on your 350pages website.

From your 350pages editor - select to add or replace an object on your webpage and choose the RSS News Feed. Simply enter the web address of a website with an rss feed, enter the number of articles to appear on your webpage and whether you want to show images. That's it!

You can customize the appearance of the RSS feed by setting the object properties for different text or background color, transparency, alignment, border and padding, just as you can for any other 350pages object.

Canvas, Borders and Padding

Enhance your photos and text blocks with colored frames and borders. There are many types of border available but I have used a simple rectangle to demonstrate the effects on images and text.

Let's start with your images. When you add a new framed image you can set the canvas color and margin, the text color and the frame color, style and size. In the object properties you can further enhance the image by adding a border which is an outer frame. If you wish to have more space around your image or framed image, then you can add some padding.

With your text paragraphs or RSS News Feed, you can change the text color, background color and add a border in a variety of styles.

When you add more padding on a paragraph this will have the effect of giving more space between the text and the border.

Color selector in the Quick Site Creator

The Quick Site Creator now has a color selector for faster creation of your website. Simply select New Site and choose your template design, page names and layouts, colors and webpage header, then your website will be automatically created for you so you simply have to personalise the content.

Global Properties Updater

Now you can update the web pages on your entire website very quickly. Have you ever built your website and then decided to change the colour or style of your navigation bars? Now you can make your changes on one template and then globally update all the other pages.

Framed Images and Galleries

Frame your images with curved or ornate corners and even shadows, to show them off better on your webpage. You can frame single images or all of the images in your photo gallery. When you select to Replace or Add a new object you will notice that the 'Captioned image' object has now changed its name to be a 'Framed image' object due to the extended features.

You can set the frame color, style and width, as well as setting the caption and thumbnail size. As with all the features of 350pages, frames will continue to develop.
